New Limited Michigan Legislation Regarding Emergency Local Boating Regulations

As everyone knows, during the past year or two, both the Great Lakes and many inland lakes in Michigan have been at historically high lake levels. High water, combined with waves from storms and certain boating activities (particularly, from wake boats), have severely damaged and eroded shorelines throughout Michigan. On May 6, 2020 at 7:25pm, Governor Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-75. In general, EO 2020-75 repeals and replaces Executive Order 2020-48 and permits public bodies to continue to meet electronically until June 30, 2020.    Read More
